We're BAAAAACCCCKKKK

So, its been a CRAZY CRAZY 2 months??? 3 months??? I don't know, its been nuts. So we have a few things to catch up on ...
Our neice/cousin Lucy was married in April!! it was such a beautiful wedding. My sister-in-law Wendy knows how to do it up right!!!

Gracie got her braces off !!! yeah!!!!! She's always had a beautiful smile but now its even more beautiful.

The girls both entered works of art in their school art contest and each of them won a ribbon. Hannah took a 1st place for photography and Gracie took a 2nd place for a black and white Open (what ever the heck that means..she took 2nd place). Hannah's is the Butterfly and wild flowers and Gracie's is the Koala Bear. Way to go girls!! (The Koala wasn't the one that won an award--The award-winning one was a scratchboard of a beetle)
They displayed Many of the art show entries at the Outdoor classroom on the School Campus.

Hannah was in the school play "Mulan" in March...it was a very colorful and fun play. She had a great time.

We dog sat Erin's dog when she and Mike went to Florida and Scout showed her how cool it was to stand on the compost bin and spy on the neighbors...what a couple of dorks!!

Hannah finished the soccer season...once AGAIN she fractured her arm just before the last game of the season. She almost made it through the entire season without a cast on her arm...

We finally had a REAL spring here. It seems like the last few years we've just gone from winter to summer and no spring weather in between. Here are my peonies and my mothers iris plants...several years ago my mom and I drove up to a small town where I'd read about them having a bare root sale of their day lilies. My mom picked out this one little tuber of iris and planted it in her front yard. Then they ended up moving about a year later and she dug it up and took it to the new house. It only got one little bloom on it for the next couple of years and then she had her stroke and we had to move them to an assisted living facility, so once again I dug it up and planted it in my backyard and once again it only got one or two blooms. I moved it to my front yard and it has taken off and was really beautiful this year.
My mom has had a really hard time the last 2 months. She broke her hip and ended up in the respritory ICU for nearly 2 weeks and was on a ventilator and then had a tacheostomy and was on a feeding tube...she's finally in a rehab nursing home and hopefully will be able to get back to where she was... She's obviously a tough cookie.
