Our early morning escape from Pigeon Fordge was successful!! If only we had known that if we would have driven about 5 more miles we could have found the peaceful, serene Smokey Mountain atmosphere we were looking for. It was a beautiful drive back to Georgia and Tennessee has redeemed herself. We hiked up Kennesaw Mountain and got to watch them shoot off the cannon..it was LOUD. I think Tim's picture turned out cool. We also drove through Chickamauga and saw just a small part of what the battlefield was. We've had a great time and covered a lot of ground but we are ready to be home...we miss our kids and dogs (and the cat). Tomorrow we'll say goodbye to Decatur and be on our way home...
